BAGUIO CITY: The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office CAR led by Regional Director Leo Quintilla together with the City Social Welfare and Development Office facilitated the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) payout held in three areas in the city.
The cash assistance is extended through the DSWD's AICS. At the first payout site at Bakakeng Central Barangay Hall, the field office extended P3,000 cash aid to 500 beneficiaries including solo parents, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and indigent families.
The target beneficiaries include the family of the affected market vendors of the Baguio Public Market by a fire incident which occurred recently. Joining the payout activity were OIC–ARD for Operations Amelyn Cabrera, Sen. Christopher Lawrence 'Bong' Go, Sen. Robinhood Padilla, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan, and Soledad Go representing his husband Rep. Mark Go.
