A scene in Cobra Kai season 5 quietly set the stage for Kim Sun-Yung to be at odds with Chozen in the show's final season. In what was one of Cobra Kai season 6's biggest surprises, it was confirmed that Kim Sun-Yung is still alive in The Karate Kid timeline. Renowned as the fighter who trained John Kreese and Terry Silver, Master Kim looks set to be one of Cobra Kai's final villains - if not the show's ultimate antagonist.
Chozen's Uncle Had A History With Kim Sun-Yung The Karate Kid Part II's Sato Disliked Kim-Sung Yung When Chozen first recognized the fighting style used by Terry Silver in Cobra Kai season 5, Chozen immediately knew he had been trained by Kim Sun-Yung. Chozen had learned about Master Kim from Sato, Chozen's uncle and a character featured in The Karate Kid Part II.
