First responders freed two people, one of whom was pronounced dead at Wyoming County Community Hospital, while the other was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, according to Perry Fire Chief Dave Spink. The two people were believed to be in their 70s and visiting from out of town, according to Captain Edward Till from the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office.
