Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 remains hoisted over several areas in Luzon due to Tropical Depression AmangPH.
State weather bureau PAGASA on Wednesday said 10 areas are under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 due to Tropical Depression Amang.Sorsogon ;Quezon including Pollilo Islands; andAmang was estimated to be located over the coastal waters of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometer per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h as of 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.
For the next 24 hours, PAGASA said an accumulated rainfall of around 50 to 100 millimeters is expected over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Quezon. “Under these conditions, isolated flashfloods and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps and in localities that experienced considerable amounts of rainfall for the past several days," PAGASA said.
