Why you might have seen 1,000 people walking together on Saturday night
Hundreds of families lit up the sky as they walked along the waterfront together tonight. It comes as part ofFamilies walked side-by-side in memory and celebration of loved ones to raise money and awareness for the children’s hospice, which has helped hundreds of seriously and terminally ill children and their families since it opened. The families walked a 6km route from Seacombe Ferry Terminal to Vale Park and back, carrying lanterns along the way.
Here are ten beautiful photos from tonight's lantern walk, as hundreds of families made there way down the promenade in Wirral this evening with lanterns in memory of a loved one.
