Everyone knows Irn-Bru is Scotland's favourite soft drink - but there are many things about ginger that you may not be aware of.
Scotland is the only nation in the world whose top-selling soft drink isn't a Coca-Cola product, it is, of course, Irn-Bru . Ginger is our 'other' national drink - and one we're very proud of.
1. There are trace amounts of alcohol in Irn-Bru In 2005, rumours abounded within the Scottish Muslim community that Irn-Bru contained alcohol, leading to concerns that some may not be able to enjoy their favourite soft drink because of their religion. 3. The iconic Strongman logo was inspired by a renowned Highland athlete The iconic stylised logo that graces every can and bottle - the strongman - was initially derived from an image of popular Highland Games athlete Adam Brown, with a Cambridge rower used in the 1920s.
