9 Lymantria Lymantria is another insect added to the game, looking akin to a prehistoric moth. It is a large creature and can be spotted at a distance due to its brightly colored wings. Lymantria are passive creatures and not dangerous to attack. However, they will release a spore attack that drastically slows players or animals if attacked. They can be tamed normally but provide a slight challenge in the early game as they can fly out of range.
7 Manticore The mighty Manticore comes to life in Scorched Earth as one of the bosses that needs to be defeated to unlock Tek items. Just like in fantasy, it has the body of a lion, bat wings, a scorpion tail, and ram horns adorning its head. Besides the Tek items, defeating the Manticore will reward its customizable skins for each armor piece. The main concern during this battle is the purple bolts shot from the tail that will inflict torpor on animals or players.
5 Deathworm Deathworms are found on the edges of Scorched Earth's map and are one of the more dangerous encounters. Deathworms are large worms with terrifying mouths that will attack any player or creature that wanders into their territory. These creatures boast high stats and are practically impossible to kill solo unless multiple high-level tames are around. In the Ragnarök DLC map, the Deathworm receives a variant form, the Iceworm.
3 Rock Elemental Rock Elementals are giant hulking golems found across Scorched Earth. They are one of the strongest non-boss enemies in the game and are best taken on at Ark's max character level. Rock Elementals come in other variants, like Rubble, Chalk, and Ice Golem, but those are not found on the original Scorched Earth map. These giants can be tamed, but require stone, clay, or sulfur over regular food, and must be hit repeatedly in the head to knock unconsciousness.
