The action-packed event will display the skill of African-American rodeo competitors in an array of events including bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and more.Shailyn Williams, a 10-year-old Jacksonville native, electrified the crowd last year when she and her horse, Apple clinched the barrel racing jackpot. Williams’ motto is “Why run when your horse can fly!”
Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters and Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Chief Keith Powers are among the four first responders selected to be Grand Marshals for the event.Jonathan Lundy Hailing from Detroit, Jonathan is excited to start his media career at News4JAX in November 2023.
