A critically endangered species listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the Philippine eagle is identified as one of the top 15 evolutionarily distinct and globally endangered species by the Zoological Society of London.Despite its widespread recognition, it still faces the threat of extinction due to hunting and habitat loss.
