Millions of pounds could soon be spent to create hundreds of new places for pupils at an in-demand Nottingham school. Nottingham City Council 's executive board will decide whether to spend £10,300,936 to expand the "significantly oversubscribed" Bluecoat Wollaton Academy on Tuesday, July 16.
Bluecoat Wollaton Academy will use temporary mobile classrooms to teach additional pupils from September, according to the city council. This is to prevent children ending up without a school place whilst the works, which are scheduled to be complete in the summer of 2026, take place.Bluecoat Wollaton Academy is "significantly oversubscribed" for applications and draws pupils from a wide geographical area, the council said.
