Police are investigating after a baby, just shy of her first birthday, was found dead in a Bronx home on Wednesday.
on Aug. 14 at around 7:41 p.m. responded to a 911 call of a person in need of help at 1314 West Farms Rd. in Crotona Park East.
When officers arrived, they found the female infant, Jazeli Mirabal, inside a bathtub, unconscious and unresponsive.Authorities said police are questioning the baby’s mother, who left the child in the tub while she went on an errand to a nearby store. Preliminary reports say that there does not appear to be a history of domestic violence issues inside the home.
