Where does the NSW government get its revenue? And how exactly is it dished out?
On Tuesday Treasurer Daniel Mookhey will deliver the first Labor budget in NSW since 2010.
The health system is by far the highest expense. Last year $30.2 billion was allocated to 220 public hospitals and other community health services, about 26 per cent of all state spending. The NSW government employs more than 430,000 people with health workers and teachers together making up almost 60 per cent of that total.
