Defining the News

About 27,000 arriving and departing passengers aboard 117 flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 are expected to be inconvenienced by reduced air circulation during a 12-hour air conditioning interruption that will begin at 9:00 pm on July 16 to 9:00 am the following day.

It was explained that during the 12 hours, new cooling tower piping will be connected to the chiller plant’s main piping lines as part of upgrades to the airport’s cooling system. Early this year, MIAA invested in new cooling towers that will be strategically installed to optimize piping infrastructure to significantly improve the overall system efficiency of the air-conditioning system in Terminal 3.During this period, only the fans and blowers of the air conditioning units will operate to enable air circulation in various areas.
