Danganronpa's obsession with mini-games got completely out of hand in the third game, where finishing the actual story in Spike Chunsoft's murderlicious visual novel accounts for just a fraction of's 100-120-hour completion estimate. The rest of the time comes from side modes and mini-games, and this one in particular is an absolute slog.
The catch is that only clumps of two or more can be removed, and doing so changes all adjacent blocks to the next colour in the sequence, making it easy to miss treasures just by leaving one annoying block or not thinking enough moves ahead to deal with colour changes properly.
