Thousands of people descended on Heaton Park today as Parklife 2024 gets underway
Up to 80,000 people are expected to attend Heaton Park as Parklife 2024 gets underway, with a huge line-up of artists performing across the venue's nine stages including, Disclosure, Becky Hill, Sugababes, and Peggy Gou. Other acts set to perform include Four Tet, CamelPhat, Mahala, CASSISDEAD, and Rich Reason.
Parklife bosses say this year is all about ushering in the next evolution of the festival with a brand new main stage and fewer line up clashes, which they say will ensure it will be the best experience to date.The gates opened at 12pm, and with mixed weather predicted for throughout the day, ponchos and bucket hats have even more so become a staple in Parklife attire, as thousands of festival-goers don the brightly coloured accessories.
Not only is there acts, but the festival will see dozens of rides, drinks and food venues across the two days.
