All the areas in and around Greater Manchester expected to be affected by flooding
Flooding is expected to affect eight areas in and around Greater Manchester as Storm Bert hits the UK. Heavy rain and snow is expected in the north of England.
The Government has now also issued alerts for flood warnings in 15 areas of the UK, so far, and is constantly being updated. The warnings indicate where flooding is expected to happen, including in Greater Manchester.Rising river levels of the River Irwell are expected to cause flooding from now until daybreak on Sunday 24. Flooding is forecast locations near the Irwell, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties adjacent to the river.
