Four other teens were injured in the shooting near Euclid High School
EUCLID, Ohio - Euclid Police Department arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection to the deadly shooting that killed a 17-year-old boy and injured four others on Friday.The 15-year-old ‘lone suspect’ was arrested at a private resident at around 8 p.m. Saturday at a private residence in Euclid , according to a Sunday release from Euclid Police.
According to a release, the teens were shot on Nicholas Avenue near East 222nd Street about an hour after the nearby football game ended around 10:30 p.m. The five teens were rushed to local hospitals, but 17-year-old Sincere Rowdy died from his injuries, police confirmed.We ask that you keep all of the families and friends forever affected by this horrible tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.
Euclid City Schools posted on Facebook confirming that the teen who died was not enrolled in Euclid City Schools.Police are actively investigating and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The 15-year-old is currently in custody at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center and the charges will be determined later, according to Euclid Police.
