A teenager was hit with gunfire on Edgewater Beach Saturday evening after a reported 20 to 30 shots were heard in the area.
Published: Jun. 24, 2024 at 3:33 PM EDT CLEVELAND , Ohio - A teenage suspect has been charged after a shooting at Edgewater Beach Saturday seriously injured an 18-year-old.
The 17-year-old suspect in the shooting faces charges of felonious assault, discharging a firearm in a prohibited place, carrying a concealed weapon, having weapons under disability, and receiving stolen property. An 18-year-old was hit with gunfire on Edgewater Beach Saturday evening after a reported 20 to 30 shots were heard in the area.
According to Cleveland Dispatch, police were called to the scene near the Edgewater Beach House around 9 p.m.According to Cleveland EMS, the 18-year-old was grazed in his back and was taken to the hospital in serious condition. According to Cleveland Metroparks, the teenage victim has since been released.
