ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Philippine Navy rescued 175 passengers and crew of a distressed vessel in the sea of Sulu on Saturday, September 9.
PASSENGERS of the M/B Queen Shaima are transferred to the BRP Ivatan after they were rescued by a Philippine Navy boat.
The NFWM alerted the Naval Station Romulo Espaldon in Bagong Calarian here and dispatched the BRP Florencio Iñigo to rescue the ship. The vessel departed from Sulu and was on its way to Baliwasan here when it encountered engine trouble.
