SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The Provincial Government of La Union is preparing for the 17The office of La Union Gov. Rafy Ortega-David said LUSB 2023 is expected to be bigger and grander as the towns of San Juan, Bacnotan, and Agoo, and this city have signified participation to the event.
“Now that five LGUs are expected to localize the LUSB, we expect more tourism activities to be spread out all over the province. This speaks strongly how we embody #LaUnionProbinsiyanihan as we continue to ride the waves of tourism,” La Union Provincial Tourism Arthur S. Cortez Jr. said. Among the LUSB 2023 activities are surfing competitions and clinics, watersports and beach games, music festivals and entertainment, and food fair.
LUSB 2023 will also emphasize ecological activities such as coastal cleanup, rescue and emergency response camps, and a special activity for “pawikan” or sea turtle conservation dubbed “Journey of the Flippers.” The Philippine National Police and the Bureau of Fire Protection will ensure tourist safety and security.
