18-year-old dies after shooting near Tuttle Crossing, police investigating

One person was shot early Saturday morning in northwest Columbus, police said.

Columbus police were called to the 6000 block of O'Sweeney Lane, near Tuttle Crossing just before 12:30 a.m.

The community at Karric Place Apartments, where the incident occurred, tell ABC 6 that it's always quiet in the area. Its horrible -- first and foremost. I can't believe it even happened in our neighborhood,” one neighbor said, who wanted to remain anonymous. "Its just heartbreaking. I’m sitting here crying, just right where a teenager passed away," said one neighbor. "I know that all of us would have ran out and tried to help.”
