Locations south and east of I-71 have the highest risk for severe weather.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - After a cool past few days, temperatures are set to soar well into the 70s Sunday afternoon. This warm air combined with an increase in humidity and a cold front dropping in from the north will be a focus for scattered showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. This is a complex scenario due to a “cap” that initially works to suppress storm development for a majority of the day. However, this cap looks to break down after 4 p.m.
The breeze remains stiff throughout the day with sustained speeds between 15 and 25 mph and gusts between the 30 and 35 mph range. Temperatures reach the mid to upper 70s for the afternoon.
