Police in Lebanon County have made an arrest in a deadly hit-and-run. Zachary Werner , 19, is charged with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, reckless driving, failure to render aid and other offenses. South Lebanon Township police said he struck 77-year-old Casimira Pakola while she was out walking on Eastfield Drive on the morning of April 30.
Another neighbor recognized the driver as 'the state trooper's son.' Werner's father is a retired state trooper, investigators said.Police tracked the car to Cedar Crest High School, where they found a white 2010 Honda Accord in the parking lot with dents, blood and hair on it.Court documents indicate Werner admitted to hitting a person while driving the Honda and said, 'Yes, it was my fault.
