A total of 2,000 students from Quezon and Nueva Ecija received Noche Buena packs from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to a report on "24 Oras," Monday, the Give a Gift Alay sa Batang Pinoy Christmas Project visited the municipalities of General Nakar and Gabaldon in the two provinces, which were affected by Typhoon Karding."Gusto ko po kahit kaunti may salo-salo po kami," Jennifer said about her plans for the holidays. "Kung wala naman po't hindi po kakayanin ang mahalaga po kami'y pisang-pisang mag-anak, hindi po maghihiwa-hiwalay.
Jennifer earns a livelihood from making broomsticks, which earns her around P600 to P800 per week. Since Karding struck, life has been hard as the typhoon washed away the sticks she would have made into brooms. Thanks to GMA Kapuso Foundation and WalterMart, her family can now have a modest Noche Buena meal come Christmas Eve.
Aside from the Noche Buena packs, the GMA Kapuso Foundation also distributed gift bags with toys and hygiene kits. The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
