Two suspects were arrested in Southern California Thursday in connection to the homicide of a missing Mercer Island man.
This photo shows Curtis Engeland, a Mercer Island man whose body was found in Grays Harbor County after he went missing on Feb. 23, 2024. In an email Thursday night, the Mercer Island Police Department said both suspects were taken into custody for "allegedly defrauding and then killing"Engeland, who was reported missing on Feb. 23, died by “sharp force injury to the neck," according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office.
“It’s a missing person, but it’s somebody that you care about, and it’s real and it’s shocking," Goeken said.
