CAMP JUAN, Ilocos Norte – Two persons died in road accidents in Ilocos Norte on Tuesday, October 10.
Police identified the fatalities as Rubiliza Baoit, 50, of Barangay Daquioag, Marcos, Ilocos Norte, and Edwin Acosta, 27, a construction worker and resident of Barangay Catangraran, Solsona, Ilocos Norte.
Investigation said Rubiliza’s husband Jose, 54, fell asleep and lost control of their Hyundai Starex which rammed a tree beside the road in Sitio Bituin, Barangay Valdez, Marcos, Ilocos Norte at 2:55 p.m.Police said Acosta was driving his motorcycle fast when he crashed while negotiating a sharp curve of the Ilocos Norte-Apayao Road in Barangay Suyo, Dingras, Ilocos Norte.
