SANTA MONICA — A fight involving about 20 men near the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday afternoon left one man with a stab wound, one man with a possibly broken ankle and five men in custody.
The “altercation” occurred around 2:20 p.m. Saturday, Santa Monica police Officer D. Hodgson told City News Service.“I can confirm one victim had an injury consistent with a stab wound,” Hodgson said. The wound was not believed life-threatening. The two injured men had been involved in the fight and were not bystanders.Three of the five men arrested were booked for assault with a deadly weapon, police said. One man was booked for battery, and the other for sexual battery.
