Two police officers were among at least five people were injured in a North Side apartment fire on Tuesday, CFD said.

Residents were quickly alerted to a fire erupting out of a third floor unit of the building. The damage left behind is significant. Christopher Quidlat was not home at the time of the fire, but his partner and friend were. He said they were just barely able to escape. Police officers who responded the scene helped a woman get out of the building. That woman and two officers were taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation. They're all expected to be OK.
