Their findings led researchers to report Texas as one of the top summer destinations, along with Florida. In fact, Austin and El Paso were ranked 6th and 9th best summer travel destinations, and even San Antonio made the top 20 by taking 19th place.Interestingly, California has among the largest numbers with the most unpopular summer destinations with only Los Angeles taking the number 20 spot.
