OXFORD, Ala. - The stage was set in northeast Alabama, as 56 teams across seven classifications were set to face off on the softball diamond at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, with only seven teams standing tall once all was said and done that are now able to travel home with the grandest prize in Alabama high school athletics: the Blue Map.
Of those 56 teams, eight teams representing the Wiregrass region made their bid for state championship glory: Enterprise, Dothan, Rehobeth, Houston Academy, Opp, Wicksburg, Zion Chapel and Brantley.
