The 2024 college football season is getting closer and today, the coaches poll was released. While Florida State, Clemson, Miami, and NC State were the ACC team
s that did make, Virginia Tech was one of the ACC schools that got left out. The Hokies return the most production in the country and are getting some predictions to be a darkhorse in the conference this season, but they were left on the outside looking in.
Virginia Tech will not be talked about much during the first couple of weeks of the season, but they have big games against Rutgers and, which could set the tone for the rest of the season. Florida State , Clemson , Miami , and NC State were the ACC teams ranked above them, which is right in line with how the media voted them to finish in the ACC . This could be the best Virginia Tech team since 2016, the last time that the Hokies made the ACC Championship game.
I agree that Drones is one of the most underrated players in the country. His passing still has to come along, but he might be the top rushing threat at the quarterback position. When you look atschedule, it is not a stretch to say that their season could come down to two games, if they take care of business in the other games. They are likely to only be underdogs against Miami on the road and against Clemson in Blacksburg.
