The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has followed its 1 Series sibling in receiving a significant redesign inside and out. It’s due in Australia in the first quarter of 2025, priced from $58,800 before on-road costs. While the cost of entry into the 2 Series Gran Coupe range is about $6000 less than before, the base model now packs a turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine instead of a turbo 2.0-litre four. You’ll still find a turbo 2.
More functions are now controlled via this screen, with the interior featuring fewer buttons than before. BMW says its QuickSelect functionality allows you to access more features via the touchscreen without having to burrow through sub-menus thanks to the use of configurable widgets. There are new seats for greater lateral support, a new steering wheel and a new shifter. The front- or all-wheel drive 2 Series Gran Coupe continues to be unrelated to the rear-wheel drive 2 Series Coupe.
