A teenager whose far-right extremist videos influenced the gunman in an American mass shooting and a postman who killed his girlfriend’s 18-month-old son were just two of the worst offenders sent to jail in the UK last month.
Armstrong, 50, had posted online a series of 200 extremely graphic images and a video under the file name ‘Father Jones’ which shows him repeatedly raping his youngest victim. The series has been known to crime agencies across the world since 2013, due to the file being shared and downloaded across 18 countries, not including the UK, within South America, Australia and Europe.
John Jessop A man who stabbed a mother of three in the neck and chest at her home was handed a life sentence. Tarek Namouz, 43, thanked the judge but shouted “May Allah destroy you” at police officers after he was sentenced at Kingston Crown Court.
He was found guilty of eight counts of entering into a funding arrangement for terrorism between November 2020 and May 2021 following a trial. He was also convicted of two counts of possessing terrorist information after videos, including details of how to make an improvised explosive device with ball bearings and using knives to carry out a lone wolf attack, were found on his mobile phone.
The judge acknowledged Coombe’s expression of remorse and written apology to Mr Cawker, but said he could not ignore the “aggravating factor of casting suspicion on others”. In February 2020, Shah was handed three life sentences with a minimum term of 15 years in prison for 90 offences against 24 women after two separate trials. A third trial ended last month in 25 more convictions for sexual offences against four more women and girls.
The teenage girl was seriously wounded in the incident in Toxteth, at about 5.10pm on March 1 last year and was rushed to hospital. She was later discharged and continues to recover from her injuries. A 20-year-old man was also injured during the incident and received treatment for a gunshot wound to the hand.

Benjamin Parry, Chad Brading and Thomas Pawley Three motorcycle gang members killed a lone biker after spotting him riding on their patch wearing rival club colours. David Crawford, 59, from Ivybridge, Devon, was hit from behind by a white van on the St Budeaux slip road in Plymouth, and dragged for almost 1km along the A38.
Mr Justice Garnham jailed Parry for 12 years, and Pawley and Brading for four years each. He described the killing as “senseless” and an act of “unaccountable stupidity”. The men were found guilty of a total of 55 new charges – George of 39 of these while Muldoon was convicted on 16. The offending covered a 28-year period from 1975 to 2004, with 20 male victims and eight females.
The court was told Mr Roberts was acting as the “peacemaker” in the early hours of March 12 2022, after his friend got into an argument with Abdulrahimzai over an e-scooter. Abdulrahimzai had claimed the scooter for himself and left it propped against the window of the Subway sandwich shop in Old Christchurch Road.

Cardiff Crown Court heard that she then opened the passenger door, climbed into the van, and tried to take a satchel. The 20-year-old was jailed for five years and seven months for the terrorism charges and a consecutive eight months for the images charges, to be served in a young offenders institution. He was also given an extended licence period of three years for the terror charges. Press had been staying the night at her mother’s house after breaking up with her boyfriend whom she suspected of cheating on her. She had spent the day drinking in the garden with her mother’s friends and neighbours and later went out with Mr Ash to the New Tredegar Rugby Club and nearby pub the Dynevor Arms. Press became aggressive in the pub and claimed Mr Ash had locked her in the female toilets.
