The 21-year-old woman who was allegedly suffocated and killed by an illegal migrant on her birthday in Syracuse fled abuse by her lover in Ecuador, The Post can reveal.Joselyn Jhoana Toaquiza, 21, crossed the southern border illegally in Arizona before she was released into the US after claiming a fear of returning to Ecuador.Toaquiza crossed the southern border illegally into Lukeville, Arizona, on June 19, 2023, Homeland Security sources told The Post.
