Authorities nabbed 22 illegal sellers of various types of animals, including endangered species, in separate operations conducted in the NCR.

According to Emil Sumangil's report on "24 Oras," the Philippine National Police-Maritime Group rescued a Burmese python that was allegedly being sold online.

In a separate operation, another seller of Burmese python was also arrested in Las Piñas City. Twelve other pythons were rescued in the police operation.“Monetary consideration yung lagi namin na nakikitang pattern eh. Kung may kinakailangan, may paggagastusan. not an excuse to violate these kinds of laws," said Police Major Robert Alvin Gutierrez, PNP-MG northern National Capital Region chief.

Meanwhile, in Pasig City, an online seller of a turtle shell was also arrested, and the authorities were able to confiscate pieces of dried mameng fish. In other operations, three tarantulas, one sail-fin lizard, and seven Malaysian box turtles were rescued.
