The Tacoma City Council authorized $25,000 to help business owners repair windows shattered by a woman on May 18, 2024.
According to city documents, the city council authorized the one-time use of $25,000 from the Council Contingency Fund to repair broken windows along Broadway ’s Antique Row on June 11.Woman accused of smashing 56 Tacoma business windows heads for mental evaluation
Mostafa AbeElNil, the owner of La Galerie along Broadway Avenue, told KOMO News it will cost $3,000 to replace one storefront window and the glass in the front door of his business. “We’ve had a customer who gave us some money and a nice donation,” Whitt said. He also explained that insurance does not cover the glass at his store.
