Large parts of the UK will be hit by snow and heavy rain
Brits are set to face a daunting "whiteout" with predictions of up to eight inches of snow this weekend and the Met Office issuing fresh weather warnings for the period.
Alongside heavy rain forecasted for many parts of the UK, WX Charts signals the possibility of snow from November 22 to 23. Rain warnings have further been extended into Sunday, November 24, impacting regions across England, while Scotland braces for both rain and snow advisories.The Yorkshire and Humber areas are not spared with anticipated impacts in East Riding of Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, through to South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, and York.
The cautions extend well beyond, into Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees, and Sunderland. Further afield, in the North West, residents and local authorities in locations including Blackburn with Darwen, Cheshire East, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, and Lancashire are being urged to prepare for adverse weather, reports Nottinghamshire Live.
The Met Office has issued advice: "Heavy snow on Saturday, followed by a rapid thaw and subsequent rain on Saturday night, may cause some disruption," and cautioned about the potential risk to life due to fast flowing or deep floodwater.
