Met Éireann is expecting the hottest day of the year so far over the coming days.
The good weather is on the way for the weekend and much of next week, with temperatures of up to 27C possible in places.
It will remain mostly cloudy in the in the north with some patchy drizzle possible near north and northwest coasts.But temperatures could"easily go up to 24C or 25C in good sunshine", Mr Doran Sherlock said, and it will be much the same tomorrow. "Certainly, Sunday and Monday are the warmest days across the midlands - parts of Munster and Leinster mainly. It is widely getting up to 25C but you could easily see up to 26C or 27C in spots," he said.
"Common signs of heatstroke to watch out for include uncoordinated movements or collapse, altered or loss of consciousness, loss of vision, vomiting, diarrhoea, seizures, coma or bleeding," it said.
