King Charles III may be the nation's newly-proclaimed monarch, but he's no stranger to Glasgow, having visited on an almost annual basis as part of his royal duties through the decades.
His Royal Highness has attended official engagements alongside his late parents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, his wife, the former Duchess of Rothesay, our new Queen Consort, Camilla, and sons William and Harry. In April 1988, the then 39-year-old prince made a memorable visit to the Glasgow Garden Festival with his first wife, Princess Diana. Huge crowds gathered to witness the royal couple pass by on a restored Glasgow Corporation tramcar.
