'The cost of operating vehicles only ever gets higher'
A Lancashire bus and coach operator has said the new £3 bus fare will 'bridge the gap' until the subsidy is scrapped entirely.
Although people have bemoaned the rise in the bus fare cap, some call the increase "inevitable". Glen Chamberlain is the Director of Moving PEOPLE Limited, an independent coach company based in Blackburn. The cap will mean no single bus fare on routes included in the scheme will exceed £3 and routes that are less than this amount will only increase in line with inflation.
