To mark tonight's ClapForOurCarers event, and show our thanks for their tireless work, British Vogue enlisted a handful of designers and creatives to share their personal stamp on the colourful sign of hope.
“My house is opposite the staff entrance to Homerton hospital, so we have to make a huge racket on Thursday evenings and show them our love and thanks. The NHS workers are incredible, vital superheroes. In times like these especially, but also every single day. I’ve experienced several times when they have been an unbelievable support and gone above and beyond what you would expect, from a cancer scare, to supporting my dearest friends through unknown illnesses.
It’s also worth noting the brilliant mental health support they offer – having someone there to listen, and hear your worries, to hold your hand through uncertainty at every point of your life. That essentially is what they are doing now, holding the nation’s hands through uncertain times and ensuring those most at risk can get the vital care needed.
