Karen Swift has become a well-known face amongst local customers down the decades
Karen Swift first joined the budget supermarket chain as a store assistant at the Argyl Street store in Accrington in 1993. She now works as a store assistant at the Heys Lane store in Great Harwood.
A well-known face amongst local customers and an integral part of the Great Harwood team, bosses say Karen played a 'crucial role' in helping to open the new Great Harwood store in 2010, followed by assisting with the pilot Project Fresh works in 2014. She has also witnessed Aldi continue to invest in the community over the years and become the UK’s fourth largest supermarket last year.
When asked what the one Aldi product she couldn’t live without was, Karen said: "My dessert of choice is the whipped Greek style yoghurt – they are absolutely delicious!" Ruth Doyle, regional managing director at Aldi UK, said: "We’re incredibly grateful to all of our colleagues and take great pride in celebrating their achievements. Colleagues like Karen have played a key part in our growth and success, and I would like to thank her for her contributions.
"Our colleagues allow us to connect with wider communities and continue to provide the high-quality service that customers keep coming back for."
