Thousands of people took to the streets in rainbow-themed outfits
Thousands of LGBTQ+ people and their supporters flocked to Liverpool today, painting the city all the colours of the rainbow. Crowds gathered outside St George’s Hall for music and inspiring speeches before embarking on a"march with Pride" through the streets.
Meanwhile, The Masquerade Bar on Stanley Street welcomed Romanian singing duo The Cheeky Girls, who gave an upbeat rendition of “We Go Together” from the 1978 Grease musical, complete with glittering gold pom-poms. The ECHO's LGBTQ+ reporter Paul McAuley was out in city centre throughout the day, providing all the latest updates, pictures and videos,and heading towards Lord Street. The parade moved through Cook Street and towards the Pride Quarter's Victoria Street for a lengthy celebration before ending at the Cunard Building on the waterfront.
