Reflecting on a Political Journey: Rob Parker's Legacy in Lincolnshire
As he steps down from Lincolnshire County Council after 35 years of public service, Councillor Rob Parker believes that the council is now a"whole lot better" than when he first joined.
Councillor Parker's proudest moment as a councillor was the successful funding and opening of the University of Lincoln - an accomplishment that most agree has transformed the city. Notably, the coalition focused on significant achievements such as the University of Lincoln funding and improvements to children's services.
He hoped his example would resonate with others, stating:"I hope I at least it gave them a model to follow."
