Another drowning near Eagle Falls in the Skykomish River has claimed the life of a 24-year-old man marking it as the third one this year.

Eagle Falls is a popular, but dangerous area that so many people flock to, especially during the summer months, but there are several signs warning visitors of the dangers that's already claimed too many lives.Nokes said he's aware of the dangers in this area but adds it's not stopping him from getting in the water.
So far this year there have been three drownings, according to Sky Valley Fire. The most recent one happened on the Fourth of July and then back in MarchOfficials said the water is still extremely cold and the river has a strong current underneath that can pull down even the strongest swimmers. Andrews said this area has gained popularity in the last three to four years which is why they’ve seen an increase in rescue calls. Officials said there's been interest from the public to shut it down.
