The SCPO said 18-year-old Cameron Jones of Akron was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Demarcus Hartwell.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Four Akron men were sentenced Monday for the 2022 New Year’s Eve murder of a 35-year-old man, according to the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office.
Jones and three others were at Hartwell’s Louisiana Avenue home in Akron’s Kenmore neighborhood when Jones shot Hartwell several times and stole items from the home. Judge Oldfield sentenced 20-year-old Nino Jennings of Cuyahoga Falls to the maximum sentence of 14-to-20 ½ years in prison.Aggravated Robbery with a Firearm Specification
