Since the incident one of the suspects have turned 18 years old, Mohamadu Touray, the Detective Bureau said.
MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio - Medina County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau identified Thursday the five suspects in a carjacking and attempted arson in Granger Township from December 2023.
According to Medina County Sheriff’s Office, on Dec. 1 five juvenile suspects with ages ranging from 12 years old to 17 year old attempted to set fire to a stolen car. The four other suspects are still juveniles, three are at the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center and one is at the Franklin County Juvenile Center, according to a release.The car was originally stolen from Franklin County and the suspects attempted to set it on fire in a business parking lot on Ridge Road, according to a release.
The suspects fled the scene to a gas station on Ridge Road near I-271, Medina County Sheriff’s Office said, where they assaulted a 72-year-old man parked at the gas pump and took his keys.All five of the suspects are from Franklin County and all have been charged with aggravated robbery, arson and receiving stolen property, according to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.
