The offer is available for one day only to the first 1,000 customers
Mother Hubbard's, which has branches across the country, will be coming to Preston on Saturday . The menu at the Blackpool Road will offer all the traditional chip shop staples as well as other options such as burgers, tacos, jacket potatoes and strips.
The celebrate the opening, the first 1,000 customers will be able to claim a special offer of regular fish and chips for 45p - the price it cost when the firm opened in Bradford in 1972. Once the 1,000 customers have have grabbed their 45p fish and chips the shop will then shut for the day before reopening with normal prices from Sunday onwards.The special offer is limited to one regular portion of fish and chips per customer.
Mother Hubbard’s are expected a huge demand on the day and will have security on the door and barriers to prevent any possible queue jumping. The outlet will also have a cuddly Mother Hubbard mascot to keep customers entertained. Preston’s new Mother Hubbard's will predominantly be a takeaway rather than a restaurant, however it will include limited seating for eight people. The new premises opens at 41 Blackpool Road on Saturday and is creating 15 jobs.
