It’s also the largest audience on record for CNN on the streaming service Max. The 47.9 million total viewership split among CNN and the 22 different networks which carried a feed of the debate — and Fox News drew a bigger audience than any other network, averaging 8.8 million viewers. At least 8.7 million people tuned into CNN and ABC News, and nearly 4 million watched on MSNBC. Of those who tuned into CNN, approximately 3 million were in the 25-54 demo.to not fact check the candidates during the debate itself — leaving many of Trump and Biden’s claims uncontested on air. CNN broke from tradition by taking control of theof a general election debate, a forum usually hosted by the Commission on Presidential Debates and shared with television networks.
