Five suspects are charged in the shooting death of a 16-year-old that happened in February.
Macon County District Attorney Mike Segrest identified the suspects as Takeo Malikque Potts, 19, of Tallassee, Antonio Danyel Terry Jr., 19, of Tallassee, Kentravious L. Melton, 23, of Tallassee and Travion Demarr Johnson, 19, of Tuskegee. An unnamed 17-year-old boy from Tallassee was also arrested. All five are charged with reckless murder.
He said Thompson was not the intended target and was in the vehicle with the suspects. He said it is because Thompson was not the target that they are being charged with reckless murder instead of intentional murder.
